Friends in Action: 2005 National Refuge Friends Conference
As we begin a new century of conservation for the Refuge System, we will gather in our nation's capital to build a better future for our wildlife refuges.
Please join us in Washington, D.C. from Friday, February 4th to Monday, February 7th for the 3rd National Conference for Friends of the National Wildlife Refuge System, Friends in Action, hosted by the National Wildlife Refuge Association and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
- We will come together for skills building, networking, the celebration of the 2005 Friends Group and Volunteer of the Year awards, and the opportunity to meet with your elected officials.
We will further develop the theme of a stronger National Wildlife Refuge System through partnerships explored during the 2004 Conservation In Action Summit. Many of the 2005 Friends Conference breakout sessions and plenary gatherings will address topics designed to build a shared sense of priorities for the Refuge System.
Our goal is to provide the tools and skills essential to the work of Friends as part of a national force for a stronger Refuge System. To truly empower you as Friends in Action!
