Tom McFadden As Outdoor Recreation Planner at Great Swamp NWR, NJ, Tom McFadden, has earned a reputation for organization and outreach. He also serves as Region 5 Special Events Coordinator, planning ground-breakings, dedications, and Visitors facility openings throughout the region. At Great Swamp, he established a volunteer program, serves as staff liaison to the Friends board, and facilitated the refuge's intern program, which gives field experience to several students each year. In the past year, his law enforcement background has taken him to Washington, DC, St. Louis, MO, and Vieques, PR. At Great Swamp, he continues to work to improve visitor facilities and public education opportunities. |
