Tim Anderson

Tim Anderson coordinated the Centennial Caravan Journey along the Pacific Flyway as part of his volunteer service at Seal Beach NWR in California. With the decorated Pelican Van in the lead, the Friends of Seal Beach traveled 3200 miles, stopping at several refuges along the way. Tim established he Centennial Caravan website, www.centennialcaravan.org, initially used to track the journey and then used to schedule the Pelican Van's visits to classrooms in the community. Tim organized a docent program and coordinated training sessions covering a wide range of topics such as native plants and endangered species. Tim has also developed outreach educational materials, including video focused on the pivotal role of wildlife refuges along the Pacific Flyway.
