As Lester Rose travels across the country in a trailer equipped with a mobile carpentry shop, he and his wife Andrea have volunteered on public lands from coast to coast. Eight National Wildlife Refuges have benefited from his tools and expertise: Rice Lake (MN), Bosque del Apache (NM), Sevilleta (NM), Brazoria (TX), Monte Vista (CO), San Francisco Bay (CA), Friends of Anahuac (TX) and Santa Ana (TX). Lester has spent many hours on remodeling, refurbishing and building projects across the country, helping take care of small projects like replacing window glass, medium projects like outdoor staircases and conference room cupboards, and large projects like decks and bridges. He combines years of experience with a willingness to take on new projects.
