Jim Millholland Since his retirement, Jim Millholland has adopted San Pablo Bay NWR, and has volunteered tirelessly there ever since. He assists with construction and maintenance of everything from signs and kiosks to biological survey equipment and the native plant garden. His regular trail patrol and maintenance work serves a variety of purposes -- he routinely provides information to visitors and recently came across an old lead-paint dump within the pickleweed marsh (part of a former Naval Base). The Navy has since cleaned up the site, restoring this critical habitat. Jim is also a major force in the annual Coastal Clean-up day. |
