Edward Meendering
Edward Meendering, Refuge Operations Specialist at the Kulm Wetland Management District, ND, oversees the management of 114 Waterfowl Production Areas and takes the lead with the District Grassland Easement program. He has worked to develop a truly integrated approach to pest plant management and recently used a combination of focused chemicals and strategically-timed clipping to eliminate problematical perennial wormwood. He is learning new ways to incorporate GIS and GPS to work more efficiently and communicate more accurately. He uses a variety of skills to meet the variety of tasks required for effective wetland management.
