Cindy Samples

Through her visitor outreach work for the Upper Mississippi River NW&FR, Cindy Samples engages and involves refuge constituents spanning five states and hundreds of miles. She works with the Friends of the Upper Mississippi River Refuges and promotes a variety of nature and wildlife interpretive programs and activities to appeal to a wide range of visitor interests. She was instrumental in bringing the American Queen, the largest river boat on the Mississippi, to the refuge to celebrate the system centennial with stops and festivals along the way at Hannibal, MO, Dubuque, IA, La Crosse, WI, and Wabasha, MN.
