As Ecologist for Humboldt Bay NWR in California, Andrea Pickart is assigned to the Lanphere Dunes Unit, where she supervises and manages the restoration and protection of the dune and saltmarsh ecosystem there. She has worked extensively to collect data on the native vegetation of the Humboldt Bay area and to control invasive exotics. Her technical expertise has been in high demand throughout the state. Andrea works effectively with partner organizations and has been instrumental in obtaining grants funding dune restoration projects.
