FIFTH PRIZE:

Twenty sets of field guides from the Houghton Mifflin publishing company will be awarded. Each fifth prize winner will receive two books: one "Kaufman Guide to the Birds of North America" and one of the following: "Pete Dunne's Essential Field Guide Companion", "Identify Yourself: The 50 Most Common Birding Identifiction Challenges", "The Shorebird Guide", or a "Peterson Field Guide" to Trees, Reptiles and Amphibians, Ferns, or Animal Tracks.

Field Guides by the Houghton Mifflin company have set the high standards for guides that are informative, practical, thorough, and easy to use.

First through Fifth place prizes will be awarded without consideration of image category.

There's no wildlife refuge without you -- the refuge supporter. We are proud to spotlight images of people on refuges with special recognition.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION: PEOPLE CATEGORY

Two Special Recognition Prizes will be awarded in the "People" image category. This is the only prize that focuses on a particular category. Any photo entered in this category will also be eligible for First through Fifth place prizes. Each Special Recognition winner will receive a Wild Bird Center Professional Ranch Feeder.

This feeder provides optimum seed flow for all the backyard birds to come in and feast! Features include a wide seed chamber that holds over to 3 pounds of seed. Made in the USA, the Ranch Feeder is constructed of natural cedar wood and uses zinc chromate screws for durability. It also features a cable to hang it any where and a metal screen bottom to ensure proper drainage.

Each photographer submitting an entry will receive a complimentary one year membership in the National Wildlife Refuge Association.
