Title:
Brown Trout
Caption:
The Brown Trout (Salmo trutta) is a golden-brown
species introduced to the U.S. from Europe. It is widely
established and will drive out Brook Trout in quieter
warmer waters. Brown Trout is a favorite of fly-fishermen
the world over because it feeds at the water's surface,
often on emerging caddisflies, mayflies, and stoneflies.
