Barbara’s Bakery, a leading producer of 100% natural cereals, cookies, crackers and snacks, has added two new cereals to their Organic Wild Puffs line-up and has produced thousands of mini-boxes of the first two Wild Puffs flavors, original and caramel. Both these developments expand Barbara’s support of the National Wildlife Refuge Association’s mission to protect and enhance the Refuge System.

Original Organic Wild Puffs were available on store shelves in 2003, and Caramel Wild Puffs followed in 2004. Now Fruity Punch and Cocoa Organic Wild Puffs bring two more ways to enjoy a crunchy breakfast and learn about the wildlife and habitat protected by national wildlife refuges. These newest cereals include a Critter Corner feature on the box (the whooping crane on the Fruity Punch and the Hawaiian green sea turtle on the Cocoa) to complement the Critter Corner addition to the RefugeNet.org website.

Barbara’s also packaged 20,000 special mini-boxes of Original and Caramel Organic Wild Puffs. These boxes were distributed by refuge Friends groups and by NWRA to encourage folks to learn more about the Refuge System.
